Got some driftwood with plants and mosses on it from Teo today. Put inside my tank and discovered some creatures crawling on it. Removed it for the time being.

Heard from some people that i can soak the whole thing in diluted bleach solution. My question is how much to add and soak for how long?

Add 20 parts of tank water (do not use tap water) to every part of bleach. Meaning, for every cup of bleach, add 20 cups of tank water. Soak the newly bought plant or driftwood for 2 minutes. But not more than 2 minutes as it can kill the plant. After that, rinse throughly with tank water. This will not only kill the attached creatures (including snails) and their eggs but also will kill any algae that might be present.

To remove the bleach more effectively after soaking, rinse the wood with anti-chlorine.
