Thank you for your input it helped me out alot. It was sapose to be a Vivarium but my Hardware store screwed me over they were sapose to cut the plexiglass 36 inches but they cut it 37 1/2 inches and said they couldnt cut it to 36 inches because it will crack and brake. So i couldnt do it the way i was planing to build it. Aswell i want to put some fish in the water part and some glass shrimp. i can tuck the soil down around the background so hopefully they cant get on it.

    Hi Butterflychild,

I'm camping here to look forward to seeing your built, if you have any doubt, just don't hesitate to write me. I'll ensure you that your built will be the most beautiful one ever.

If you decide to use a waterfall to wet the "dry area" to marsh, get yourself a live moss and spread all over before you positional your driftwood or rocks.

Looking for to see your upload pictures!

    Let me know your thoughts.
    cheers

    Re: Buddies

Turtles will blow up your tank in short measure with the amount of waste they produce. Any common semi aquatic lizards are at least as large as your hand.

You are left with frogs. None of which can be recommended with fish, or other creatures.

    Either or situation.

    Re: Buddies

I have a couple of links for beardies that are useful. Read them, and you should be good to go.

    http://www.beautifuldragons.com/
Bearded Dragon specialised site. Read EVERYTHING.

    http://www.moonvalleyreptiles.com/ur...uromastyx-diet
Talks about a vegetable diet. Read the related subjects on this from the same site.

    http://www.anapsid.org/mainfood.html
Various regards to recipes for omnivorous reptiles. I can't find it anymore, but one of the links of this site gives you some information about the various dietary requirements for bearded dragons, which are omnivorous.

There's no reason to rush into buying a bearded dragon. Take your time, and you can enjoy your lizard companion happily for the next 7-10 years.

    Re: Buddies

Would like to add that I think Beardies deserve a tank with a footprint of at least 4 x 2 ft, or 48 x 24 inches. They can make lovely pets that we don't have the liberty here to get in Singapore, but hopefully will in the future.

    Re: Buddies

Well i have a 40 gal tank right now which is what i was told would do very well for a baby to young Beardie for at least a few years by the time its 2 or so years old it will have a 55 gallan tank. The 2 years will give me the time to save the mony for the bigger tank. So sory that you cant have Beardies in your country but maybe someday. Theres some creaters that we cant have here either.

    Re: Buddies

You should go smaller for the baby beardies. They are extremely paranoid, need to be fed several times a day and have access to good UV.

But for the adults when they get comfortable, I think a minimum of 75 gallons does them justice. A 40 and 55 gallon has the same footprint, don't waste the money.

    Re: Buddies

Oh i already have the 40 gallon for the baby Beardie but i can portion it in half to start. Oh ok 75 or bigger it is i think i can get my 90 gallon bow front tank back that i use to own. That should be great for the adult. Thank you for your help.

Yes, do portion it, and do some research on giving hides to baby beardies. Sorry, I don't recall what the standard procedure and reasoning is for the related subject.

Yeppers i am and have been doing reserch of Beardies. oh i was origanally doing a vivarium with Purple Vampire Crabs but i had one and it molted and died so i found out there not hardy and my LPS is haveing hard time getting them aswell. So was wanting to find something else that i can get here easier and that the creature that i get is easy to care for and hardy.
