From that photo I can see that yo have a hang-on filter, which is already very good for yout tank size. No need for additional filtering.
But you must change part of the water routinely. I do it every day by siphoning out about 2 litre when I siphon the debris at the tank bottom into a 2 litre bottle. Then I pour in 2 litre of aged water.
You can male a siphoning tube by buying a piece of hard transparent plastic tubing, cut it to reach the depth of you tank and attach it to a length of air tube. This is a very useful tool.

Tank size is like bigger the better. I will advice all people to buy one size bigger than what they intended. Got a 1ft thinking enough....now I want a 2ft but misses don't approve! She prefer all in 1 tank but I want open tank...how?
OT: if you age water in a closed bottle....chlorine run go where? After aging content still same as the bottle is closed right?
For fish, a 1ft tank or nano tank is equivalent to humans living in a 'shoe-box' apartment. A reasonable minimum size is 2ft. Even with a 2ft tank, the number of fish that can be kept is limited to just a few.
When keeping water in many 2-ltr drink bottles for ageing, the bottles must be left uncovered, or loosely covered and a big space left for the chlorine gas.
