Root base fertilizer safe with shrimps?

Dear all,

I have Fire Reds in a planted tank. I have added a red lily plant two weeks back to brighten up the greens.

There is a new leave sprouting and the plant sellier told me to insert a root fertilizer when there is new growth to enhance the color and more new growth.

Is root base fertilizer shrimp safe? I am dozing BW Lush, Essense K and Ferum twice a week and Seachem Excel. No CO2, 2 x 24 t5 for 6 hours daily.

Any brothers have good exerience with root fertilizer in shrimp tanks, pls let me know.

If the fertilisers do not contain copper, they should be safe for shrimp tanks. However, note that these fertiliser tabs may contain minerals that might affect your GH and KH.

I have used the Borneo Wild root fertilizer and had no problems with it. I got a tank with fire reds too. Just make sure your substrate is at least 4-5 cm and you insert the root tab deeply.
