Haha. So true. I had a small tank, a small air pump n air stone. For decor i placed my sister's coin saving castle. Some marbles. "wa lah!" i spend hrs watching them guppies swim.

Dear members of AQ, pls post on Ads n sell us your rocks. Note, its rocks with charisma. Your excess floor tile dont count. Do we have a sub forum to talk about rocks? We can name it, "Do you rock?!"

Err...rental. Its like borrowing books from library. I rarely return them. Hehe.

To felix, appreciate the feedback mate. Will take it slow.

    Hey bro,

Thanks for the feedback. Appreciate it.

I was actually considering the 2224 but will check it out at seaview before concluding purchase.

I thought the FX5 is normally matched against the Eheim 2080?
    But yes, its an overkill.

Looking through the posts make me laugh cos I am also one whom had a hard time convincing my woman to let me restart my hobby. She was quite happy that I gave up my 4ft tank previously when we shifted home and now just manage to convince her again to get another tank.

Any pic of your 3ft setup as I am now looking for used tank, filter & lights as I dont intend to spend so much this time unlike in the past.

Re: Eheim Exernal Canister & CO2 Regulator

Heya guys. I did an almost 3hrs-4hrs surveying the stuffs I need at Seaview. Most of the stuffs I want is there. My suprise was the price of the Fluval 405 and the FX5; $250 and $350. (Pricing I place is not exact so it's plus minus)

I just want some feedback. I know you can't go wrong with the Eheim. I saw the pricing and is within my range.

Now I am spoil for choice. The Eheim Pro 2224, Eheim Pro3 250 and the Eheim Pro3 350. Below $200, $250 and $340 (Pricing I place is not exact so it's plus minus) What ya guys think? Pro3 250? 950L/Hr good enough?

I am even tempted to get the FX5 though its over my budget and placing it in my 3ft is kind of an overkill.

Re: Eheim Exernal Canister & CO2 Regulator

My eheim is 2026, very functional for 3 ft tank. (Used to own one)
Now, if you are looking pass these two filter, you might want to drop by GC to take a look at the new Totto Filter.
    http://www.gcshop-sg.com/product_vie...ipp=100&stm=-1
I am assuming you want to look for an external canister filter. 3ft should need two of these but you can always start off with one. It can hang from the side so you save on those long long tubing and lily pipes etc. The water flow can be adjusted. I suggest you drop by at GC to look at it personally and hands-on. Look at the filter media available as well. It's compartmental type and customisable if you really hand itchy...heh most of us are anyway. Totto filter is newly in.

Okay, next up, rocks. As you drop by GC (Clementi Ave. 2 Blk 354), there are some rocks (by kg), and Lava rocks there for you look at. Yah, basically those rocks with beautiful face are hard to come by hence, you'd have to drop by at different time. Some other place including Biotope at Blk 167 Woodlands Street 11 (Marsiling MRT), Pasir Ris fish farm (You need a car in as there are a few of them there).

So the above are stuffs you can consider. Happy Hunting. If you really wanna iwa your tank, make sure you use the same type of rock. Sold by the kg, hence better if you have transport.

Ha ha...yah, haven't dropby as my workplace really far, reach home 8+pm everyday and wake up 5+am, no time to really rest but we still to earn a living. Money hard to earn, bro.

In that case, teo should still be contactable. Their stones come in pallets.
