Does Honey Gourami eat plants? I've seen them nipping on hair algae. But yesterday I just saw one of mine nipping a chunk off baby spinach that are meant for shrimps.

I've had plants bitten off for quite sometimes now. My frogbit & hydrocotyle all got bite marks. But I couldn't find the culprit, the only snails I have is Nerites

From some links on the web, they do eat some plant matter from time to time.

    Hey,

Have 2 honey gourami in my tank, realize that they do nip on the mosses (Riccia and fissidens especially).

Have observed that the gourami uses these as part of their bubble nest.

    Cheers

"They enjoy a diet of fresh lettuce and cooked green vegetables in small amounts."

    Ah, no wonder. Thanks

I see. How about plants with large leaves, any bite marks?

My frogbit & hydrocotyle leaves got huge chunks bitten off.
