Also, L183 is more rare and difficult to spot.

Tell auntie you want ancistrus pleco. the male has got bristles at mouth area.

love it! buy the smallest you can find. the younger one the more hard working

Just bought 2 L183 about 1" from C328, very nice pleco. How good if they just stay at this size.

My L183 most of the time hiding, occasionally saw them in the glass or blog woods. They didn't disturb the substrate or plants at all. I keep Malayan shrimps which are quite big so they are okay with them.

    Re: Pleco in planted tank

I got the L183 2 days ago and I didnt see it till this morning before leaving for work. Probably the morning was dark with shower that misled it to be at night.

So far I didnt see it helps in clearing the green dust algae so no choice I got the magnetic scrapper to scrap off the GDA and was annoyed when it pull out my hairgrass below near the glass and I have to replant them again.

    Re: Pleco in planted tank

L183 does not go for GDA. Read this link to see how to fix it:

    http://www.aquariumalgae.blogspot.co...algae-gda.html

I think Nerites might eat this algae.
