    Hi guys,

need to catch my malayan shrimps out of my 5 ft tank before I put my aro in. Don't want my aro to feed on the shrimps...

I've tried to net them, but they refuse to move.. even if i use a cane to scare them.... plus i dont want to disturb the plants too much..

did try to put a small tray in the tank, and put food inside.. but i guess they weren't interested.

    any idea??

    You can try this method:
Stuff some sponge into a bottle and leave it at the base of the tank for a couple of hours and check occasionally for the shrimp numbers. Once there are many shrimps in the bottle, seal the opening and bring up the bottle.
I hope it works, I got this idea from seeing shrimps often hanging around sponge filters.
