Perhaps there are other such insect colonies still undiscovered deep (miles) under the earth?

The species in the video is probably the colony of Leaf Cutter Ants, given the presence of fungus gardens.

In that link it gives info of one super colony of Argentine Ants stretching over 6000 km along the southern European coastline.
