My DW has small holes in between and i notice there are some white spots. I suspect they are some sort of fungus. I have tried boiling the wood but the white spots still won't fall off.

    Any advise?

Hi are the spots small white oval shaped ones?

Can try scrubbing, they might be egg cases of snails.

Hi felix, the spots are not as you mentioned.
I think they look more like spider web texture, but they are not.
Some of them are easy to scrub but those that are hidden inside are hard.

You can try pouring hot water over it. Should get rid of it.

    Hi deone,

If spidery web texture can try bleaching the area, i noticed you have already boiled the wood. did that have any effect?
