    Hi,

My small tank is starting to have a growth of very soft very fine hairy algae on the back side of the tank (its a matt texture black surface) and on some of the broad leaves plants as well. The acrylic sides of the tanks have green round spots of algae (normal to me) but not the soft hairy algae.

I don't mind the algae on the backside but how to prevent it on the leaves ?
The plants still seems to be thriving.

    My tank as follows
    - Oceanfree 32L tank
    - come with LED light, added a Dymax clip on CF 16W tube, on timer 10hrs daily
    - 1 pair of discuss about 3" body length
    - 2 SAEs
    - Various plants
    - dosed with liquid carbon daily and Flourish Excel once a week (according to instructions)
    - water change once (sometimes twice) a week, about 25% each time using Prime
    - water temp : 29.6 - 30.7 Deg C.

Is the amount of light too and high temp a culprit ?

    Looking forward to your advice.
