Fish 1 identified as Puntius phutunio.
OK, a fruitful trip to the LFS, and more fishes to ID!
Fish number 1 hails from India, some kind of Puntius but which? size about 2.5 cm.
Fish number 2 also from India, some sort of cyprinid. This specimen about 3.0 cm. Some Japanese publication shows a similar fish named Puntius minthngii but I could not find any other reference for this name.
Fish number 3 looks like some sort of Chela, also from India if the LFS didn't got himself confused… about 2.5 cm.
Fish number 4 looks like Barilius bakeri and some specimens do not have red trim on the dorsal fin, sexual dimorphism?
Fish number 5 is a small barb caught at Kota Tinggi, about 2.5 cm and initially thought to be a juvenile of Systomus banksi, but I caught them doing what looked like the whoopie so any ideas?
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

choy, the fish 5 should have orangy fins, but cannot see it from the pic?

there are some orange/red in the pics but very slight because the pics were taken before they settled.
