I am planning to have a 2ft tank that will have an alternate dosing of aquarium salt (not alot about 1-2 tbsp) and without during water change. I would like some suggestions for low maintainence plants that can tolerate this changes.

Do you mean dosing salt in between water changes?
Anyway, I find that sodium chloride is really not necessary for a planted tank, except as a temporary remedy to treat ich.
I agree. with not having salt in planted aquarium. But I am trying to create a good spawning gound for yamotos shrimps.
Alternate dosing means the following:
Water change without salt
water change with 1 tbsp salt
water change without salt
water change with 1 tbsp salt
This is the intention.

does it mean that by adding aquarium salt ot the tank, it will create an environment not suitable for the spawning of yamato shrimp?
on the contrary. To breed yamotos you need some aquarium salt.
