Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
It will grow daughter plantlets from the mother plant.

Hi
I like to share my experience that may help.
I used to plant green tiger lotus in my tank. However, i removed it after a period of time. But as you already knew, its roots are very long and thick. Hence, i had a hard time removing it. Finally, i managed to pull the whole plant out after some struggle.
the amazing thing is that 3 new small green tiger lotus emerged from my substrate at the same area that i used to plant it after about 3 months.
I am not too sure how that happened. The only explantion that i gave myself was that i did not fully eliminated the roots at that time. So can i call it as root propagation.
Thks.
they are rosette plants.
not all tiger lotus will have plantlets, the thick leaved type have lots of plantlets by runner, the thin leaved type (shown in my original thread) DOES NOT produce any plantlets.
The four-colour lotus has plantlets growing from submersed leaves.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Mine has surface leaves with plantlets too.

Right, the TLTL (Thin Leaf Tiger Lotus or TL^2) also known as QOS (Queen of Siam) NEVER seems to have plantlet, should sell 3 times more than regular TL right?
no no the TLTL is not QoS, was told by QoS owner that while the pattern is QUITE similar the QoS has thick leathery leaves.
