    How do you do if you want your plants to grow in width, they grow like hell upwards, but i donīt want them to, can someone explain please ?
    I know itīs a matter of trimming but how ?
    Currently running 1015liter cubetank 125*125*65 , plants comin in soon. 55*55*40 cubetank, echinodorus plants only. 160*40*45 juweltank with discus. Royal Blue Vf.

    If you trim right above the leaf node, about half way down the plant you will get two new sprouts. If you do this to every stem plant you will get a bushy effect.

    just let it grow, japonica will put out plantlets on stem-like runners. Be prepare for big bush.

    Make sure there is enough light and base fertilizers for bushy growth. If light is not enough, they may become unsightly with their new shoots growing one inch above the substrate instead of "hugging close" to the bottom.
