Are these mold on my driftwood?

Please pardon me as this is my first time using driftwood and I have thought it is "maintenance" free thingy.

Does that mean I have to take it out and scrub off the mold (if it really is)?

    Thank you in advance.

Take note that SAE will grow up in size in awhile and your 14litre tank won't house them for long.

Oto the most will grow up to about 5-6cm. To have them in your tank, I experienced that the tank need to be really stable and the oto got to be acclamatised to reduce the rate of casualties. I would think yamoto will be a better choice but I've got no experience if they can be housed together with the mini crayfish.

I went to google and found this article from Sera, shrimps are like a snack for these mini crayfish.

I will give oto a shot then.

I also came across this mini crayfish journal done by another forumer.

Very interesting read with nice pictures. The full tank pic is on page 5.
Just sharing around. It's really an enjoyment to read such journals.

I'm also fascinated of having CPO in my tank but I think I got to hold my horses and do some research on e compatibility in my tank first.

Thank you for sharing the articles.
