What kind of media is suitable for putting in OHF used for keeping Sakura and cherry red?

any kind of ceramic rings will do for me i use ehiem substrate pro and bio home plus for my ehiem 2224.very happy with the filtration of my two feet tank.

Heard the bacteria in ceramic ring is bad so better dont wash the ceramic ring right?

Hehe yeah very beneficial when just buy give it a rinse with decholorinated water. When if it is already in tank and your eye itchy then can wash the ceremic rings with tank water to minimize bacteria death.
