Lampeye killies suitable tankmates

I am looking for other killifish which are suitable with lampeyes.


I looked around the internet and came down with Clown killi or the Fundulopanchax Gardneri.


Not sure with the common name of Gardneri, but their colours are attractive.

Or do you suggest any other killifish.
Also, where can i get the above or the fishes you suggested?

Been a while since someone posted in this sub-forum, at least to me.

You can get Fundulopanchax gardneri nigerianus "Innidere" from Green Chapter. That shop just moved, so check out their website or this forum to find out their new location.

Clown killies (Pseudoepiplatys annulatus) is a good tankmate for lampeyes. Being small, they don't pose any threat to the lampeyes and vice versa. You may also consider Aphyosemion australe. There are a few more but these killies mentioned are more readily available in our LFS and if you are not intending to breed them, then have them in your community tank.

I like the lampeye due to their size and schooling.

Will the gardneri's or clown's fry in the community tank be eaten by the lamp eye or the parents?

Do you know where to get the Australe or clown? Called GC but they said their clowns are out of stock. Not sure about the gardneri.

Australe are sometimes available at C328 and maybe Y618. It comes in the orange form though. Any fry in the tank can be seen as food for the fishes so if you want to spawn them in numbers, a species tank would be good. I think the gardneri nigerianus should be available because I checked their website the other day and they still have it in stock.
