Tying mosses: Fishing line - the preferred diameter and knots

Recently I have bought pelia moss and was having a hard time tying the mosses to the mesh.

I read somewhere before, to get the thinnest fishing line that you can find.
One day I managed to find one, which is 0.8mm and I was so delighted with the purchase.

To my dismay, this is actually a big mistake for me. I guessed my age is to be blamed that I am starting to develop long sightness, so much so that I am having difficulty finding the fishing line ends, let alone tying it.

So I am wondering what diameter are you guys using for your fishing line and what knots do you use?

oh, I managed to make a successful knot, eventually. and just when I was so pleased and proud in doing that, it gave way soon after.

I don't know what is the term for the knot that I did, but it is those simple knot just like tying a shoe lace.

In the end, I have used those flexible metal strip to tie the pelia moss to the mesh (plastic). But it does not look as nice as I like it to be, if the fishing line is used instead.

Leave enough slack on where you started and end at where you started, thereafter, with the slack and the end of the fish line, you should be able to tie a dead knot. That should secured the tying.

My opinion it is better to use normal cotton string, easier. Fishing line is stiffer, harder to do.

Thanks bro. I tried this last night and still had a hard time. I guessed my fishng line is really too thin for me to handle.

I have went ahead with cotton thread and it is so much easier than fishing line, the knot tying was much easier too.
