It's an innovative combination of a heating plate + sloping device I would say. The raised strips is for retaining gravel I think.

very innovative. cos whenever we slope the gravel on its own, it will never stay sloped for long.

using the plate will not stop the 'sloped' gravel from levelling out.
just slows down the process.

I don't think it will slow the process much. It's more of a space filler cum heater.

I think it will retain the slope long enough for roots and deco to permanently keep the slope.

One horse-face loach and I guarantee your slope will be gone in two seconds

Hi vinz and simon, that's my top priority. That's why I asked him not to do anything stupid. I've clapped half, peace.

Banjo catfishes are pretty good diggers too. I believe rooted plants help to retain slope just like how land plants' roots prevent erosion. quite similar.

Aeon, why don't you try it yourself over a couple of months and feedback the results. Only through experience do you gain the knowledge whether the gadget really works...
