Hi anybody used Azoo Substrate before? How long can it last before we need to change it? Bought it at Nature Aqua. but they no longer sell it. Anyone seen it elsewhere and at what price?

I think its similar to ADA and since ADA is all over the place.. you may as well use it.. heh

Actually the Azoo substrate contains nutrients like a basefert so no need to add any basefert, further more its ph wont drop below 6.5 unlike ADA soil which will drop below 6 in the begining. Well this is was i was told by Mr Chan Anyways...

    Just my 2 cents

Ya, i think I read somewhere in this forum that pH will drop very low if ADA soil is used, that's why I tried to stay away initially. Too low my guppies will all "board the car" together. So anyone have any idea how long Azoo can tahan?

ADA soil will drop ph to AT THE LOWEST is 5.5... which is usually quite unlikely depending on your volume of water..

usually the ph would be 6 which should be no issue to guppies.

ADA soils are for acidic fishes I think...
But looking at tank specs of Amano's tanks, he usually have the PH at 6.8+- but he uses combinations of ADA sand and other exotic substrates...
    I'm back!
