Hi, not sure if the thing growing on my hairgrass are algae. It is something like white or light grey, a bit translucent. look very ugly. Anyone got any idea what it is? how to get rid of it beside manual remove?

BBA I got them on my Hairgrass too!!
The most important thing now is check whether you have enough CO2. Alot of people say BBA can be solved by increasing CO2, I haven't seen results yet but it's becos my atomizer lousy.... lol!

Prune the affected HGaway. Pruning promotes growth too!
    I'm back!

does it look like white cotton? If it is, then it's not BBA. Typically white cotton will go away after sometime by itself. I'm not very sure what it is, maybe some algae, maybe some fungus, but it's generally not a big problem.
