    Does anyone knows if changing of water temp from 28 to 24-26 will affect the bacteria buildup?
    my tank have been running for 1 mth plus and still abit cloudy..
    i have been using the nutrafin cycle a this while.
    any suggestion?

    I don't think will have any problem. In nature, the temp in the hot afternoon can go up to 30 then drop to 25 at night when it rains.

    No need to use nutrafin cycle at this point of time. Short of you doing something to kill the bacteria, your tank should be well populated with them by now. Any possiblity in this aspect?

    Other then that, I would look to plant stress for the cloudiness. I'm not sure of the technical terms, but plants leak certain things when their nutrients needs are not completely met... related to the "oily" film on the water surface. Else its bacteria feeding on unused nutrients. I can't explain it better nor be sure I'm even right in my understanding, but the idea is to make things right for your plants fert wise.

    What's your fert regime right now?
    What plants?
