    WoW! It would be nice to have a pair of them, so brillance in colours. This is definitely a gift from the heaven.

    There is a related species, Chromaphyosemion splendopleure, which is available locally in just one store.

    It's no longer at Clementi, the new location is at Macpherson Road, close to Tai Seng MRT station on the Circle Line. Price-wise, I don't remember but they are uncommon species. They are nonetheless beautiful and if you can provide them a decent planted setup, they can be prolific. The price you pay is basically for the quality of the stock, which is home-bred by a fellow killie keeper. Chromaphyosemion splendopleure has been present in Singapore since 2007 or earlier, so you can see that they are very stable, at least in our climate.
