I heard before cross breeding of luohan and blood parrot. I've been mixing my female blood parrot with my male luohan. My blood parrot currently laid eggs now. Can anyone teach me what should i do to make this spawning a successful 1??

If the eggs are fertile, they will hatch within 2-3 days.

YOu could get the usual fry food to raise their offspring.

Unfertilized eggs will fungus and turn white, you need to remove such eggs. I think fertilized eggs are brownish in your case.

    Not all cichlids are mouthbrooders...

Anyway, LH and blood parrots are substrate spawners...

Not all cichlids are mouthbrooders – only the Geophagus and some Apistogrammas in the New World, and a large number of Africans.

Both luohans and parrot cichlids are totally artificial creations, made by hybridising various Central and South American cichlid species based on traits like nuchal hump size, red colouration and parental traits. The squat body of the parrot, however, is a defect that would be quickly eliminated in nature, but which breeders have retained because it looks "cute" (though not to all eyes).

Luohans and parrots likely share an ancestor in common, so they are likely to be able to breed together. Whether this is an ideal situation is another matter. But I think that should viable eggs and fry result, the fry (once free-swimming) will be best fed newly-hatched brine shrimp, commercial fry food (Liquidfry etc) until they are big enough for other foods.

Finally, would you like it if I had typed all the above in SMS lingo and short-forms?

If you have kept luohans or other cichlids before, you should know that they make excellent, devoted parents.
