    Hi everyone,
I have a Yellow short tail guppy whose tail ends seems to be rotting. The edges are reddish brown in color and the guppy is always seen lying on the floor of tank.
I am treating it in quarantine tank with a dose of Pimafix and Melafix.

Would like to gather some comments on the past experiences and success stories of fishes that recovered and the medication that were administered?

    Thanks !
    Current tank : 2ft / Bogwood with plants / 7 cherry barbs / 1 C.pandas / 4 C.Sterbais / 3 C.Trillineus / 4- AFR fries ; 3 AFR adults (2 males 1 female) / 1 nerite snail

    Hi,

I would leave a small piece of ketapang leaf and add some general aid medication about a dollar.

I feel that the ketapang has been tested in bettas to keep out bacterial infection. Together with the green general aid medication solution, it speeds up the recovery process of the fins.

    Hi wilsonguppy
Thanks for the tips. I have scouted around for this ketapang leaves but not sure whether any Lfs sells them in yishun ?
Been to seaview aquarium but not seen these being sold there.
Maybe I am not looking at the right section.

I have also corydoras , cherry barbs and Otos in my tank with the guppies.
Should I take out the guppies into quarantine tank and then put in the leaf?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Sadly this guppy of mine is now gone to fish heaven.
I think it was a Moscow blue.

That guppy is survived by 40 over fries
Some graduated to main tank whilst the others are in nursery still....
They just bring so much joy when they swim towards me when I stand near the tank and they will swim to the nearest corner where I usually drop food ....and wait there....

    Hi wilsonguppy
These fries are of mixed parentage and they are collected from one tank with three females. Not sure who's their mom lol.
Some fries are showing their colors already so I will try to load up the photos when I managed to take some shots at them.
Will share once it is ready, cheers !

Cannot upload? If can upload to gallery just get the picture URL from right clicking when viewing your gallery (Firefox, chrome) . Then insert in post using the copied URL , uncheck local referencing.

If that still fail use 3rd party like photobucket
