Fish tank update - Oct 2012

Tank is 6 feet.
Water last changed is on the 19 Sep 2012... one week ago just added 500ml of Purigen in the last compartment plus an internal filter inside the sump tank.. water looks so clear everyday even till now without water change... PH still measured at around 8 plus.



I am sure Purigen is not new to many people here.. but for those like me who never use Purigen before... this is a product you will never regret buying !

Remember to get very fine bag to hold the purigen... the purigen is not as fine as normal sand but it is very very light in weight... do handle with care...
I got myself 2 types of bags to try... the original Seachem THE BAG is about 5 times more expensive but the material is kind of like hard plastic but yet flexible... so i believe it can last for a very very long time...

Sharing my sump last compartment filtration improvement.

Internal filter with purigen inside. Hope it helps you in cleaning your water... WC is still require, just delaying the WC for me...

I use to see alot of residue on the base of the last compartment of sump tank.. although told by many that these are not harmful to fishes but an eyesore to me and i used to have to use my battery operated handheld cleaner to suck them almost daily, now i don't do that anymore.. guess just have to clean the internal filter with the purigen inside when it is due for cleaning.
