I believe that most of us are in Singapore. Mind helping us find out and let us know? Maybe you can also help by letting us know the cost of a 3 feet cabinet?

    Thanks

Thanks again for the interest. Cabinets are made to suit your measurements and requirements. I can either flat pack or send a full completed cabinet as seen in pics above. For a 2foot cabinet (60cm L x 30cm W x 65cm H seen above) will cost approx 800-900 AUD depending on the timber used + 20% of total for packing and shipping. It will be slightly cheaper flat packed but you will have to assemble to parts together. Hope this helps!

    Brandon,
The grain of the Blackheart Sassafras is indeed beautiful *wipes drool off laptop* and good effort on the cabinet. Personally, I think sand & oiled or non-gloss lacquer finish will be very nice.

From brief online reading, it doesn't say if the Sassafras is a hardwood (or is it semi-hardwood?). However, seeing it being used for a guitar chassis is encouraging. At another page, it mentions, "Extremely fine textured and moderately soft. Blackheart does have good tone qualities and bends easily, so it's becoming more popular with musical instrument makers"

Okay... so I'm not contemplating another tank cabinet but toying with the idea to make another plinth for my Garrard 301 (vintage turntable) and possibly use the remaining for tonearm mounting boards.

Any idea what 2 pieces of 120cmL x 60cmW x 2cm/1inch boards (planed & ready to use) will cost? If it doesn't cost me an arm, leg and a few of my racks, I ought to be game *grin*
I'm back & keeping 'em fingers wet,
    Ronnie Lee

BHS is a hardwood timber that is readily used in designer and fine furniture. How you use it and the structural integrity design of the finished piece of furniture depends all on you. As with all timbers, prepare and use it right and you won't have any issues.

very nice. You can be a carpenter. I like the un-coated color of the wood thou makes it look mnore exotic.
