Damn it, after giving haircut to my beautiful hairgrass, all the hairgrass develop BBA. Now it looks black instead of green.

Wonder will the BBA go away in time or need to replant the hairgrass again. (It took me 4-5 months to have the hairgrass start to spread and grow).

sounds like my ex 3ft tank which have the same problem with you, once HG starts having BBA can say it's the end of the tank.

What i did was took out all the hairgrass i have and bought from TEO one whole patch and planted back into the tank, no BBA from then on =)

I don't quite understand why will BBA grow on HG after a Haircut it beats me up till now.

It's really sad to hear tht koon =( try other plants like tennelus ? much easier.
    Cheers!

How come you and me act in same way ??
I also went to Teo and replant my hairgrass this afternoon.
Only that I never take out the old infected hg.

I remember I read from somewhere that algae will infest on injured / dead cells more easily. Healthy plant will not grown algae so easily. Maybe that's why after the haircut, all my hg kena BBA.
