Just got KNO3 from Dr Mallick.
According to Chuck's Calculator, I need to add 10g to 100ml of water, to get 1.35ppm per 5ml dose of solution. Then add one dose per day over a period of 3 days to get 4.05ppm a week.

The spoon supplied with the KNO3 has 2 sizes, 2.5ml and 5ml. How many grams is 5ml (big spoon) of KNO3?
    I'm back!

Chuck's calculator is using our cooking kitchen teaspoons and tablespoons. So, you should be taking the bigger end of the supplied double spoon as a teaspoon.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

    According to Chuck's article http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/aqua/art_p...osage_calc.htm , the mass of KNO3 in 5ml is 5.6g.

BTW - there's a later version of his off-line nutrient calculator at http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/aqua/art_plant_aquacalc.htm

    cc's stands for cubic centimeters.
    ml's stands for milliliters
One cc = one ml They are equivalent.
    One teaspoon = 5 cc = 5 ml
    One Tablespoon (Tbl) = 15 cc = 15 ml
    One Tablespoon = 3 teaspoons
    One ounce = 30 cc = 30 ml = 2 Tablespoons = 6 teaspoons
8 ounces (The common size for a formula bottle) = 240 cc = 240 ml

haha! taken from www.parentsplace.com for preparing milk for baby! hope this help.

i just bought the fert too.. and I have one question. do i have to dilute it with water or just the powder inside? according to chuck's calculator, if i add the powder straight to the tank, i will get 269.4 ppm Potassium for 0.5 teaspoon. is there something wrong?
