    Hi Cbong,

Can I know where you bought the PL lamp (2x9w) from? How much was it?

how are you inject CO2? what about filter?

I am using Eheim Liberty 100 hang-on filter for my 1ft cube, works like a charm but the current is too strong even at the lowest setting.

I had a problem with hang-on filter flow too strong for my 20cm cube. Just stuff the wool tighter and stuff a piece of wool at the inlet but not completely closed. leave a little space for larger particles to go in...
    I'm back!

never restrict water flow at the inlet, do it at the outlet. you'll damage the impeller when there is insufficient water entering.

    Re:

See pic below. Attached the DIY CO2 outlet to the air intake valve of the Atman internal filter. Instead of blowing air, it blows CO2 in fine bubbles. The max output of the filter is 230l/hr. It can be reduced thru a switch. Good flow now with the lower setting. Got it from NA.

    Re:

Got the lamp from NA. Was told it can be upgraded to 2 x 13W, the ballast can support. But can't find the PL tubes yet. Can't remember the exact price (bought several other things), but you can call Chan to check.

tell us next time how good your filter is at clearing the water. I find the Eheim Liberty does a fantastic job, just the current is too darn strong.
