    Hi,

I set up a 3-feet tank recently, and using Seachem liquid fertilizers. They are a bit costly.

Is it possible to buy dry fertilizers for planted aquarium in Singapore?

I didn't notice them at LFS, even at big ones like Seaview and Qianhu.

Can anyone tell me where to get them?

unfortunately you wont be able to get KNO3, you might want to substitute it with CaNO3

It is fine as long as you do weekly water change. It wont accumulate until become toxic

    I see,

I believe it might increase your GH water, once you add Ca over CaNo3.

As Robery mentioned, i think the GH won't have a drastic increase and long term effect on the aquarium as long as water change is performed weekly. I opt to use Seachem Nitrogen over CaNO3 as my tanks are low tech and low maintenance with mainly water top-ups.

i mixed mine with water instead of administering it dry.(too troublesome to measure using the baking spoons ) i would say can last you a long time. I still havent finished the ones i mixed in 1.5L bottles.

My tanks are low-mid tech so it really goes a long way

I see, thanks! I shall switch to KH2PO4 and give it a try, once my Seachem runs out.

May I know which other dry macro fertilizers you purchased from them? I'm not too sure about using CaNO3, although the calcium would probably be good for my plants and shrimps, right?

Hi cherabin, thanks for advice! Sounds like a good idea with the Seachem Nitrogen.

    Hi diazman,

Do you dry dose CaNO3 into your tank or do you pre-mix into solution?
