golden tetra?

hi guys...

anyone knows where to get the above fish at a gd price?was at one shop today and they were selling like $2 a piece.more ex(expensive in full...in case i get shot by budak ) then cardinals.

but i gotta say they captivated me.not many fish can make me buy them on the spot.but but....$2 is really wee bit too high.or is that the standard price?

anyway...why is it called golden anyway?did the lfs owner got it wrong?cos the body looks more like platinum to me.very sparkling indeed.woosh~if only i got 20 of those schooling in my tank! :P

i tink their scientific name is hemigrammus rodwayi...

I was at kingfisher on sunday night and I saw 2 tank of newly arrive golden tetra. I guess they should be ready for sale on tuesday

I got mine from Fish & Fishes...... think less than the prices quoted here... You might wanna give them a call first.
