Seek some advice of what type of killis is appropriate for 7 liter tanks? Am comtemplating converting my betta tanks to try breeding killis instead.

Can norman lampeyes do well in 1m 2f ratio in such small tank but planted with java fern, and floaters like duck weed and salvinias?

How many tanks do you guys keep currently? Currently i may convert 2 ex betta tanks but need to find killis that can do well in such smallish space.

    Question to ask

You could try Clown (rocket) killies.

You should visit C328. I saw some Pseudepiplatys annulatus the other day.

As for non-annuals, GC would be a good choice.

Thanks for the heads up on finding clown killi at C238 or GC. Yet to visit both since i am in AMK....

Btw, do you practise conditioning the female in a separate tank before intro with a male to spawn?

I feel you should research more into the Ps. annulatus dietary needs, providing a conducive environment and proper conditioning of the breeders prior to even thinking of breeding them. Caring for just-hatched clown killies can be a piece of cake for some and a eye-opening experience for many.

BTW, Ang Mo Kio isn't that far from GC.

    Re: Question to ask

Thanks Ron for the advice. I have already started to read up more on killis and do find the requirement different from bettas when i restarted fish keeping after some 20+ years not having a tank in the house.

Btw, spotted a fry about 2 mm in size in the community tank the other day, must be from the golden panchax. Am surprised this very recent addition already started to spawn.
