You can try minnows or hatchetfish.
I just got some meteor minnows and silver hatchetfish over the weekend as I wanted upper column dwellers for my tank.
Hi all,
Been reading here and there to get info on high and mid layer fishes . Adding up colors.
All i have is cories, plecos, otos, living peacefully.
And now looking for peaceful companions.
I dont want them to nip my long fin pleco.
Any ideas?
Tank length is 50cm, with huge tree like wood across.
I get random opinions on nipping tetras danios and barbs.
So confused.
Please help.

are they jumpers? i'm thinking of getting some.
Hatchetfish can jump so must have tank cover. Y618 have silver hatchetfish , much nicer than the marble ones in my opinion.
ohh how about metoer minow? where you got it from?
Thanks bernie,
But jumping fish i think is out of the question. As my tank got no cover.
Curious also bout meeeor minnow.
Thanks

Meteor minnows are actually a variant of the golden white cloud we normally see at lfs.
You can google for pictures, it has red colour on its' tail and fins.
I got mine from JZX.
Clown killies or lampeye killies
Noted.
Any idea about dwarf gouramis?
Looked pretty.

Dwarf gourami is nice too, top column dwellers and should be easily available at LFS.
It's better to make a trip to LFS and see what they have in stock right now, you may get rare finds and nice surprises.
Coral red pencilfish spotted at c328 yesterday, would be a colourful addition to your tank
Visited na. The gouramis are quite big. Hmmm..
Not many choice as well.
So ended up with 6 red danios and 6 normals.
Also got neon tetras as they are the cheapest. Hopefully they get along. Will see how first might consider gouramis if space allowed
Thanks all
