However, if the LED is developed for aquascaping use, it will be better since LED can be manufacture to target certain spectrum, used by plants, and even better if the LED is designed in such a way the spectrum is target at plants and not algae.

If the spectrum is targeted at plants, algae will also grow. they are in the same spectrum for photosynthesis.
There are LED products for aquascape use.
Alternatively, also can custom make.
Not expensive at all.
