How to keep water lily alive?

Got one from Seaview recently, noticed that leaves are shiveling and roots are not growing

Keeping it in a sand only substrate

Define water lily? How does it look like?

it comes with purple flower but unfortunately it wilts before flowering

My knowledge with soil is limited. Last time I remember. Aquasoil over Power Sand = excellent growth. Both are ADA product.

No such product like Shrimp Soil. Soil is to grow plant : )
