Ideally 25-26degrees of water temp , sufficient light.

i've tried this method before and it works..
my moss tank is situated in my kitchen, and i turn on the kitchen lights for a day instead of the tank lights. the external light source will help in making the moss grow.. wat i saw in a day was new light green shoots starting to emerge...
worth a try..
the temperature does play a huge role too..
