    Any advice on how to lower down my temperature on my 4 ft tank. The temp stay at 29-30 deg , have change the water 20% but the after few days it goes back again.

    maybe you can tried install a fan,which is sold in lfs or can DIY one if you want, to lower the temperature of the water.

    or you can get those clip 7-8" fan from electrical shop, BEST denki, Courts



    no bad for small tank 2ft below one fan cool down to 26-27 oC

    4 ft maybe you need 2 of it.

    plug and play= plug direct to power point 28watt using 230v.

    Chiller meant more for high end aquascaper due to the price, unless have spare CASH- for beginner try the fan first.

    how much does those fan(from best or courts) cost? are they cheaper than those types of fan sold in LFS??

    Hi Bro,

    Just add in a AC fan, u can get one in N.A. It will bring down the temp of at least 1-2 degrees. It does for me......

    It a hot, hot summer nights now, top up water like crazy........

    Got one AC fan today for my 2ft tank at $30. It is really too hot.... even water from the tap is above 30 deg. Very effective. Manage to bring down temp to 27 deg within 2 hours. Have to get another AC fan for my 5ft as well. Manage to maintain lowest at 28deg before lights on and 28.5 - 29 deg during lights on. Chiller is already in consideration for my 5ft but cost and electrical bills are a concern....

    where can i get those clips for DIY fans??? and how does it cost?
