Don't mention! Things you need to take note is when water lever goes down the wavemaker need to lower down also, if not you might damage the wavemaker motor/blade. Just remember any stagnant water will invite algae.

any one tried to relaminate the cabinet?
i did one for my outdoor kitchen last tine. seems to be very strong against oil fume and water.

    HI mukyo,

Very sorry for my late reply. I was traveling passed few weeks.

The expedit is strong enough to hold up to 3 ft tank. No different between glossy and matt. All depend how big your tank and how your maintain the tank.
Especially when you change water. I make sure NO water leak out the tank! And I keep it dry 24/7 All my books is under the tank.
Not sure about relaminate the cabinet. the water still go through the joint right?

All the best to your new tank.

well done. keep posting on your rescaping.

as i have limited space, i would be getting the 2x2 expedit only.
the things now is finding a 2.5ft tank is practically impossible without custom.
ask few stores the quote is 3-4x 2ft tank price. siigghhh...
will post if my project kickstart

just open thread, include how you improve water proofing and strengthen the stand for use.

imho, get a 2 footer. the remainder use to display tools & ferts. can do glass stand like gc, look very nice

p.s, your sig is via tapatalk?

choco, 4 more months to mark 1 year? soon to rescape.
do post a recap of the tank toward the end.

    Re: 2013 New Project

    Hi all,

Sorry been MIA for 5 months. My 4th new born baby girls been keeping me busy. (Helping our government to hit the 6.9 million population)

Today is my custom made tank set up on ikea expedite bookshelf 1 anniversary. All still in good shape and not a sign of stress show on the ikea expedite bookshelf. Even I moved the whole tank and shelf from my study room to my lovely wife dressing room. (convert my study room for my new born baby)

Not much changes on the scape. But I will share some new pictures tonight.

Have a great and blessed Sunday.

    God blessed you all.
