    Re: cheapest hardworking shrimp

328 have sell. Need to ask aunty to pack.
Not too sure the price, but confirm cheaper then cherry shrimp.

Btw, these shrimp will also prefer pellets then algae. I normally starve my tank to make sure they work

    cheapest hardworking shrimp

My vote goes to Red Nose Shrimp.. They don't go for my shrimp food, just concentrate on their algae diet.. Haha

Seaview should have them. Come in few sizes. Just tell the worker at the packing counter and they will pack for you. The price is stated at at the shrimp tank.

    Re: cheapest hardworking shrimp

I noticed my ex-Malayan shrimps(mostly dead after insecticide fiasco) only ate algae initially. Once there's fish food in the tank, they will go for the fish food.

So it's still the usual scrubbing on the tank walls which I need to do.. but with the Malayan shrimps around, my substrate was really clean... no rotting food or debris...

Am also hunting for replacement but Seaview which is near my place is out of stock.

    Re: cheapest hardworking shrimp

Malayan shrimps are 'multi-colored'. No consistency of color. It appears to me, when they are stressed, they are like glass shrimp. When they adapt to the environment, they can end up like cherry shrimps, sometimes brown, some red, some blueish, etc.

Not always available. There was a period I went to a few places over a few weeks before finding them at Yishun eventually.
