yes they do eat hairgrass. some rasbora and barbs are also in the habit of pulling out entire plant or strands and eating it whole, and the sh!t that comes out looks like a sugar cane that has gone through the juice press
Hi,
Just made an observation.
My yamatoes LOVES hairgrass.
Recently, i planted a small amount of hairgrass to "try out" if they will grow properly in my tank. After 2-3 weeks, I observed that they have spread out horizontally but seems to have thinned out. Also, i discovered that my Yamatoes are grazing on it.
I have about 35-40 yamatoes in my tank and about 5cm square of planted hairgrass.
Anyone can confirm that yamatoes grazing on my HG coz it to not grow fast enough?
