12 gal JBJ NanoCube integrated with lighting [24W], filter and pump.
I hv taken out the charcoal bag and use the space to put in a Hagen DIY co2 system connected to a bubble counter to monitor the flow.
JBL substrate, TMG. Used tetra aquaBalance and blackwater extract together with OceanFree A-Z Bacteria to speed up the "maturing" of the tank in the first 2 days. Put in the plants on the 3rd day and the fishes on the 4th day [sorry, it is actually 4~5days old, forgot to count the 2-day run-in]

Put this setup on my bedside table so that i can enjoy nature before falling asleep. Like the compactness of the Cube with all the integrated equipment and its nice design, this improves the aesthetic esp considering the limited space at a bedside table.

btw, is the spacing of the glossostigma in front too big? i hv seen o2 bubbling started almost immediately after planting so i guess the light level should be enough.

    Nice!

One comment though... there are some not-so-slow growing plants in there. For small tank like this, you might have to maintain it very regularly to prevent those plants from choking up the tank.

thanks. which is the one that will grow fast? dont know much of which are fast growing plants, just choose for the aesthetics.
Most likely i will use the floating plants to hv better control of the lighting distribution by locating them at the appropriate place.

except for the moss, and perhaps the hairgrass, all the rest seems to be fast growers.

thanks, chua. I used a nikon coolpix3100 on manual mode, WB cloudy, exp compensation -0.3. The data showed that the camera select a shutter speed of about 1/20 and aperture at f2.8 and mounted on a mini-tripod.
    ISO is auto.
I am also experimenting with my Nikon coolpix5700 on aquarium pic taking. Hopefully it would give better results.

From your nick, I would have guessed that you used a Nikon D2H.
