Will do when i have the correct equipments and if the hobby takes on a whole new level. So far, the interest level is so-so to ok on butterflies. I'm still exploring different types of macro photography. So for now, it doesn't matter nor bothers me if the subjects are wild or captive. Its a picture i'm after and as long as they keep still enough for me they are good subjects and hence good photography opportunities. Except that red butt that took me a long wait to shoot, its like forever fluttering about even when on the flower.

they are of different genus but sometimes in life, there are exceptions. Although I don't think there will be any offsprings from it
Thanks simon. I was searching for pictures of a male and female mormon online but can't seem to find it similar to the pair above. Hence my thoughts of cross breeding.

the one in your photo is a male mormon, the female has red colouration. I go see if I can find a photo
