Realised that the sand level is too low thus rush and bought another 2 packet of sand. I'm in the process of moving house, thus update will be slower. Intending to start the tank cycling this coming Sunday.

think you will need bigger rocks...
should start planting and tank cycling together.
most will advice not to use different rocks because it will look odd... but if it is hidden somewhere and not be seen then I think shouldn't be a problem
Just a quick update on my tank. Decided to go for another kind of look this the new setup. Please pardon me if its not nice, still on the learning curve. Lol
just a small update to my tank. Decided to change my plants.. out with the floating and in with some plants I got from nice people on carosell. Right now only right side of tank have plants.. still slowly hunting for plants for the other side.
Just a side note.. gravels from an semi-estabilished tank and Seachem stability really impress me! my tank cycled in exactly 1 week. I started the cycle on 25/9 and it's shows 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite and 20 nitrate by 10/2, and my rummynose show their full red bloody nose all the while.. I used to have my doubts about seeding and Stability.. now I'm a believer!
P.S. can bros here advise me what 'colour' plant I can get.. needed get something other than green. As of now, I don't intend to get a chiller, probably will be starting CO2 gas by end of this month, for now i'm using liquid CO2. I douse macro fertilizer every alternate day and those days with no macros, i'll douse with a few drops of micro. Using beamwork high Lumen 90 and light period is usually from 6.30am-9pm.. after that will switch to the 'moonlight' mode as I find the tank is really dark after switching off the light, scared my fish 'phobia' lol. Fish are mostly tetras and cory. Thanks in advance for any advices!
If I'm not wrong the plant in the middle is not true water plant ...
is it??? I got it from those wet market fish shop.. no wonder I feel abit weird when I look at it, though my time browsing web looking at aquatic plants, I never come across species that looked like it!! thanks fireblade!! i'll remove it from my tank tonight!! but the leaves are sprouting white colour root like thingy. hhmm..
Yes the fern-looking plant in the middle is not a true aquatic plant.
