    hi Koah Fong,

    you have great tanks!!
personally I find that 2nd tank should not be 800... it looks better than the first tank..

Thanks. I have less time to keep them in shape. The rankings certainly reflect and I agree with the judges.

Hope everyone try harder next year!

That didn't turn out well so I did not send out the tank and sent out my moss tank instead. Use existing light and supplement with flash to fill in the shadows.

Anyway guys, some pictures from the other side of the border over here.

Just wondering would it be better if all the entries were posted in the first post according to ranking. Easier to view. Just a suggestion.

Wow, first time viewing MAC site. Agree with Zenscape, MAC do have pretty high standards of aqua design and loads of variety. I realised they are also very critical of their design which is good collectively for the forum. We sure can learn alot from them. Great work Stan

If you look at "Vietnam" planted tank, you will be shocked of what they used and the creativity they have. And they scored big in this year ADA competition. They can have HUGH tank with almost all ADA stuff, even ADA lighting, etc... The hardscape they have, it could be easily get item over at their place. Saw one of the Iwagumi tank about 5-6ft braceless tank, the huge Aquasoil they put in and the impressive huge stones. I dont think we can ever find such big and nice stones here. I think the next few years the Vietnamese will have very good result in ADA competition, a threat to the Hong Kong. They have a very good network and sharing over there i guess. Though i dont know Vietnamese language but by looking at their setup makes me drooling... of what they can really do.

If Vietnamese can have access to big and nice stones and win ADA competition as you mention, then we here in Singapore should look at what is unique over on our side and make full use of it to our advantage. Ready to make "Singapore Tanks" anyone?

Usually the hardscape is one of the most crucial points when scoring!

Of course its not only about stones lol
My point of making that comment is to think how we can advance together to make distinctive "localized" scapes that would stand out from the rest ie. "European Style", "Japanese Style" etc. This would help differentiate us from the rest of the pack especially in competitive conditions
