For real? It looks like fissiden moss growing on your bogwood. Congratulations!
Hi, I bought some wood from a LFS a few months back. There are stack in a Styroform box. I took the wood home and soak them in boiling water everyday for a couple of days before putting them into my planted tank.
After a month, plant like things started to grow from these wood. Need some advise on what are these growing from my wood. At first I thought these are algae and then they like to grow and now they seems to look more like moss to me.
Can anyone help to indentify what are these?

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and he will drink beer while getting sunburnt.
Yup, for real. I have not plant any thing like that in my tank before so it can be deposited from my own tank. And the Bog wood was all dried up and under open air when I bought them, furthermore I boiled the wood. Any life that was left would like died after all these. I am actually looking forward to how this plant or moss will develop into.
Its US fissiden, I surprise it survive the boiling.
Great, since it is fissiden, I don't have to remove them.
I am surprise that they survive the boiling water. I left the Bogwood in my car boot for a week before bringing them home to boil them, they survive the heat in the boot as well. The Bogwood was a bare piece when I got them, quite a big piece, I saw them into a few separate pieces and all of them are having growth on them now. Quite interesting.
