My chiller kick in for 15 minutes and kick out for 45 minutes.
The chiller is paired with Eheim 2224.
    Is the chiller working efficiently?

    Thanks.

Thanks bro, I am thinking of adding the external sensor and wonder if that will make my chiller work less.

I am using HS-28A with Ehiem 2026. Seems like my kick in and kick out durations are similar to yours. I thought the shorter kick out time should be fine, especially these hot weather.

hi bro, adding external sensor is good...cost around 15 to 20 bucks...
but the chiller is working fine, so try to keep it that way..

Hmm.. Mine kicks in for about 6-7 mins then lasts another 25 mins before the next kick in.

2 ft tank with an ecco pro130 as the filter.

    Does this sound ok?

Hahaha. Bro where do you live man? One and a half hours before kick in? What your are saying is of course ideal. But it also depends on where your tank is kept, how well insulated is the tank and of course the flow rate of your pump or canister. Also the temperature that you set.

    Re: My Hailea HS-28A

Modify your chiller with an external temperature sensor. You will not be held back with the type of pump you have and shorter kick in and longer stand by time. But as always, your mileage may vary. Search for past thread on chiller modification.

    Re: My Hailea HS-28A

    Hi

I have a 2.5 feet tank and am using the HS 28A paired with my Eheim Professional 2224. The chiller is set at 24 degrees. The problem is that it kicksin every 5/6 minutes and then kincksout after another 2/3 minutes. I am sure this is quite abnormal as most users say that their chillers kicksin for about 30 minutes and kicksout for about 1.5 hrs.
Please help me to find a proper solution to this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Saugata Banerjee
