    It has been years since I had a tank. Did a nano tank 23 x 15 x 15cm in office.
    When I came back after the weekend, the tank water looks abit cloudy and there seems to have hair algae.
    What can I do to improve the tank?
    using hang-on filter

    It could be a lighting issue . In the beginning , use only 6hr per day for a week and gradually increase 1hr per week until you reach 8hr a day per week . Also , plant heavily at the start . The mass of plants would help consume the extra nutrients in the water column .
    If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.

    Good advice from BFG.
    Indeed I always plant very heavily at the start. I found i have less issues this way to deal with. And i can put fish almost straight away, but not shrimps.

    How is the tank coming along raytan12?
    Are you still experiencing the cloudiness?
