Fantastic! I love all of them!

In the past few days, I was admiring my tank a lot When I look at these top 6, then look back at my own tank again, well I had a very different look! I found my scape flat, not enough depth and lacking creativity! Haha, good point is that we will know our limitations. Better points, we will want to try new and improved layouts. Best points, we will be more motivated and daring to take more initiatives. Bad points, our wallet may suffer!

agree with AquaObsession, certainly have a lot to learn to improve for me!
Very nice indeed, personally like the scape by Olga Baranovskaya of Ukraina.

I have similiar feeling like you guys. These tanks are just awesome!!!! I am inspired and motivated and its time to tear down my tanks!

Observing from recent years' results, I thought that ADA contest was moving towards creative and unconventional layout and design, but the Grand Prize this year return to old school aquascaping. I believe you will find it familiar.

Needless to say, healthy plant growth is still the way to go and the champion really has some very healthy plants in his tank! The whole tank looks like water colour painting on convas with nice shade of red A master at work...

    FYI, he is using a whopping 30w X 2 and 39W x 4 for a 3ft tank.

I saw these pictures few days ago, but I worried to post it here because of some rule I've read that ADA company doesn't want to publish contest aquariums until its official release by ADA itself.

    Well, now it doesn't matter

For me, most naturaly looks the tank by Olga Baranovskaya and most near to me is tank by Fumio Shiga..

It seems that jury return back to roots and oldschool style.. however, I like all those tanks very much. Nice inspiration.

Seeing these tanks are painful... they are really experts in landscaping! When will I ever reach this stage? Patience patience patience... *sigh*

Personally, I like Silver Medal by Chen Ze Xin of Taiwan, gives me the feel of walking into/out of a nice forest with sun rays shining thru leaves, illustrated by fog around. Hmm...

Also, Bronze Medal by Jung Soon Ja of Korea has got a nice zen-y and 'icy' feel to it. nice...

The first place really deserved it... only a 3ft tank and he made it look huge. Plus he managed lots of red without it being gaudy. Bet Amano liked it.

You all should note the tank sizes are all very similar

Olga's is the hardest to keep, I really like the work in Yamagi, and Ja's tank is the nicest rock work around. I'd be partial to Ja's tank personally.

Nice Rocks, or nice wood, generally branchy wood, large groups and detailed foregrounds.

Think about these things when doing your own scape.
Details and really working the tank daily for several week can dail a tank out and never stop tweaking it.

    Regards,
    Tom Barr

I realised it was the use of lighting that makes the scape go up another level.

perhaps! I only know it was this way from day one. As a disclaimer-my phbb knowledge is shallower than the white sand in amano's tanks...
